The Regional Director Ysm S S Tyagarajan set the ball rolling for the new Y’s year with a five point programme as follows
Priority No. 1. – Service
Priority No. 2 – Family Involvement & Fellowship
Priority No. 3 – Leadership Development
Priority No. 4 – Image Building
Priority No. 5 – Extension & Membership Conservation

 

The Regional team for the year 2006-07 was installed by Area President Ysm C PTharakan at a glittering ceremony at the 27th Regional Convention held on 30th June and 31st July at Hotel Green Park, Chennai. Ysm Nandagovind was the convenor of the convention. Honourable justice Mr. M Jayachandran judge high court madras was the chief guest. The convention was attended by large number of Ysmen, Ysmenettes & Yslings. The convention was addressed by Area President Ysm. George C P Tharakan, Area President Elect Thomas V John, Area Secretary Isaac Palathingal, Regional Related Secretary Ysm G Ebenesan and Music Director Sri R Bharadwaraj. The First Regional Secretary of the Region Ysm T R Rajaram was honoured by presentation of citgation. ICM and Area President Elect Ysm Thomas V John was also honoured. The convention also showcased rich cultural programme by the members of South India Region.
